Fine chip sunflower seed is our finest grind of hulled black oil sunflower seed. This bird seed feeds all types of birds, including birds not often seen eating bird seed. Fine chip is a great option if you are looking for a bird seed that doesn't sprout and attracts a wide variety of birds.
We recommend fine chip bird seed if you are noticing any mess with your medium chip bird seed, or if you have any American Goldfinch or Pine Siskins visiting your backyard bird feeder. Fine chip works best during dry weather if you are feeding it in a tube/ silo styled bird feeder as it has no protective shell against wet weather.
